It’s important to figure out your position monetarily; evaluate how much you can afford on a month to month basis. Test and tweak your promotions to see if they work to increase profits and then you can increase your budget later on.

That being said, there are many alternative ways to publicize for free on the internet, some are effective and some are just a waste of time. Twitter as well as other Social sites, has certain protocols you need to adhere to; you can’t just jump on there and start screaming about your product – nobody cares, so expect to be ignored. Posting on Twitter every 5 minutes will also get you overlooked, and you’ll be view as nuisance.
It’s best to create relationships first in order to build a following. I mean think about it, you wouldn’t go to your best friend’s wedding and start screaming about your product during the reception right? The idea is to build relationships in any social media scenario.
Through social networking, both offline and online, you can find people that will offer you referrals, and again, this comes through social interaction, not pushy selling. Leads are valuable, and no one is going to reach in his pocket if he does not know anything about you!
Direct contact campaigns
This a more traditional way to reach your market, not used as often, but still works well if you’re a local bricks and mortar service or business and can be utilized by network marketers as well. The one thing many small business owners as well as Network Marketers don’t understand, though, is list building; plenty of information can be gathered from direct mailing, but unfortunately it has poor response rate.
Still, if you can get people to return a card, or leave a mailing address when they come into your shop or visit your blog or website, you can make a list and use that list for future email marketing campaigns, and if you give people some sort of free offer to sign up, like a free drink with a pizza, or free ebook for example, you will be astounded what number of people will give you their emails.
